You’re going to have to resize and reposition it again. It won’t be restored to its original position. Once you unpin and pin the tile again, it will appear on the Start menu. The fix is simple unpin the tile, and then pin it again. If you try to pin such an app to the Start menu to fix the problem, the context menu will show you an option to unpin it which indicates that the app is in fact already pinned. It appears as though the tile has been unpinned. Other than that, there’s nothing, not even a tooltip to indicate that there’s a tile there. The only way I know there’s a tile pinned there is because I remember it. In the screenshot below, the outlined area indicates an app tile that’s pinned but invisible.
